Recently, someone on the Internet mentioned a cheap otoscope. It's billed on Amazon as a ear wax removal tool with a camera attached but what it really works well as is a little camera with a handle that you can point places you can't get to: like under the sink or behind a desk. You can then take a look there and see what's going on behind the scenes that will require your attention. The actual photos are pretty decent, but what's worth it is being able to move it around and take a look. I've had it for a while but ironically what prompted me to take it out of the case and use it was that I got a nose infection, a small case of folliculitis, and I wanted to get an image of what was going on in there. Sure enough when I stuck this up my nostril I could see the inflamed section and everything (don't click this unless you want to see the inside of my nostril inflamed and covered in mucus). It takes a bit of getting used to before you can actually use this on yourself, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. I still think I'll primarily be using it to get a view of electronics and so on, though, rather than as a "ear-wax removal tool".
