Lots more things are easy than are not. And it's precisely because they're easy that people argue incessantly about them. A classic Internet subject that people do for the memes is the Celsius/Fahrenheit thing. I've lived in the US for ages and I have a pretty good gauge of the whole thing because I grew up with Celsius.

Going between the two is trivial. C -> F is just double, chop off a 10th, add 32. Going F -> C is just subtract 32, halve, add a tenth. You won't be super-precise, but you won't be very off the mark. I can do most of this in my head, and I have an intuitive sense of 72 F comfortable-ish up to 25 C.

Miles and km are pretty easy to get an intuition for as well. I still have trouble with quarts and gallons and cups, and I mentally count when I have to do freshman, sophomore, junior, senior.

But it's probably easy enough if I cared. But everyone seems to spend a lot of Twitter time picking one or the other! Just be good at both, guys. It's not hard.
