A typical story

To rage-snipe someone is to post something intended to cause outrage so that they'll participate in a discussion instead of doing whatever they were originally doing.

And the real story

It's like nerd sniping except completely unfulfilling for the victim for the few seconds before they're hit by the bus.

A classic example is for something that has a quick resolution but is instead played out in its original form repeatedly as people decide to react to the original statement.

In the case of the example screenshots post, it's possible the user wasn't even real and just doing this to farm karma up to appear to be a real user who would then proceed to spam the site. They're suspended.
