A command palette is a type of GUI element that gives you a text incremental search bar that allows you to select an action you can do on a page. They can be view-specific or task-specific but the magic that makes them work is that you no longer need to know where in the visual space a specific task action is. It's not quite asking an LLM to do something, but it can be way faster than most other ways of doing work because:
- It is predictable: you hit the trigger key, a few letters, and you see what you're going to select before doing it
- It offers discoverability: it can show you all the things you can do
- It doesn't need a mouse: it's halfway to

An agent loop is nice because you can ask it to do multiple things, but sometimes you just need a quick way of getting something done, and this is a cool little thing you can simply plug into your application with a minimum of fuss.
